2014 CANADA’S WEST MARKETPLACE® TRADE SHOW
TO BE HELD IN CANMORE, ALBERTA

PLEASE NOTE: The Canmore to YYC charter on Wednesday at 15:30 has been cancelled.

The 27th annual Canada’s West Marketplace trade show will be held in Canmore, Alberta, November 17th to 20th, 2014.

More than 300 Alberta and British Columbia tourism suppliers are expected to gather in Canmore later this year to meet with more than 120 international tour operators and wholesalers from Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.

“Canada’s West Marketplace is the most effective way for Alberta and British Columbia tourism suppliers to present their products, experiences and services to tourism buyers from around the world,” said Bruce Okabe, Chief Executive Officer at Travel Alberta. “Alberta’s partnership with Destination BC presents our industry partners with a unique opportunity to grow their businesses on an international scale. We look forward to inviting tour operators to join us in picturesque Canmore in the Canadian Rockies as we showcase the authentic experiences in breathtaking landscapes that Alberta has to offer.”

Established in 1989, the Canada’s West Marketplace trade show is a partnership between Travel Alberta and Destination British Columbia, and is an annual forum for promoting Western Canada tourism products to international and domestic tour operators and buyers. Each year, the trade show alternates locations between Alberta and BC.

“The continued success of the Canada’s West Marketplace trade show is a testament to the amazing breadth and depth of Western Canada’s tourism experiences,” said Marsha Walden, President and CEO, Destination British Columbia. “This is an important event for BC’s tourism industry, helping us grow our tourism opportunities through strong relationships with the travel trade from across the country and around the world.”
